George F Hargitt

Born in Sterling, Scotland, George Hargitt became a self-taught landscape painter who taught painting in England before immigrating to London, Ontario, Canada where he farmed in the summers and painted in the winters. In 1923, he and his wife moved to San Diego, California, where he lived until his death in 1926.
